Norman T. Seltzer

Norman T. Seltzer is a founding shareholder of the firm whose specialty is real estate law, with a particular orientation to land use issues.
Education Background
Mr. Seltzer received his undergraduate education at San Diego State University and the University of California, Berkeley. He earned his L.L.B., summa cum laude, from Hastings College of the Law in 1941, where he graduated first in his class.
Employment Background
Mr. Seltzer started Seltzer Caplan McMahon Vitek (and predecessor firm) in 1948 and was President and Chairman of the Board (Managing Partner) from 1968 to 1997. Previously, he was an associate attorney with the law firm of Lindley, Higgins, Lazar & Johnson in San Diego. From 1942 to 1946, Mr. Seltzer was a First Lieutenant, navigator and navigation instructor in the U.S. Army Air Corps.

- Represented builders and developers in various real property transactions, including the acquisition of Convair Plan II, San Diego, California, a very large industrial facility, and the Hotel del Coronado
