Todd E. Hyatt

Associate

Todd E. Hyatt is an associate of the firm in the litigation department.  Mr. Hyatt represents clients in state and federal trial courts principally in the areas of title insurance, real property, ERISA and general civil litigation. 


Education Background

Mr. Hyatt received his B.A. from Emory University in 1998.  He earned his J.D. from Loyola Law School in 2003. While in law school, Mr. Hyatt was a staff member of the Loyola of Los Angeles Entertainment Law Review.

Representative Matters

  • Obtained substantial verdict, including punitive damages, on behalf of lenders in three week jury trial involving breach of fiduciary duty claims against loan broker and escrow holder
  • Successfully represented property owners in trials involving quiet title, easement, nuisance and dedication claims
  • Represented lenders in mechanics’ lien, stop notice, foreclosure and lender liability litigation
  • Defended title insurance companies in insurance bad faith litigation
  • Represented employee benefit plan of luxury hotel in ERISA litigation
  • Represented businesses in alleged trade secret and unfair business practices litigation
