Rebecca F. Zipp

Ms. Rebecca Zipp is Of Counsel in the firm’s Litigation Department. Her practice focuses on complex business litigation and criminal defense.

Education

Ms. Zipp received her B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania in May 2002 and earned an M.S. in Elementary Education, with distinction, from Mercy College in Dobbs Ferry, New York in May 2004. Ms. Zipp earned her J.D. from New York University School of Law in New York, New York in May 2007.

Employment Background

Ms. Zipp joined Seltzer Caplan McMahon Vitek in January 2023 after spending fifteen years as a prosecutor. In law school, Ms. Zipp was a summer associate with Katten Muchin Rosenman LLP in New York. After graduating from NYU School of Law, she moved to San Diego where she served as a San Diego County deputy district attorney from 2008 to 2019, prosecuting fifty jury trials to verdict. In 2019, Ms. Zipp joined the Office of the City Attorney for the City of San Diego as Chief Deputy, Domestic Violence and Sex Crimes. There, she supervised over sixty jury trials.
