Employment Type: Full-Time Hours: 8:00-4:30 (7.5 hr workday)
Salary: $105,000–$110,000 annually [Actual salary will depend upon several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant experience, job-related skills, and qualifications.]

Seltzer Caplan McMahon Vitek seeks an experienced and highly organized Legal Assistant to provide dedicated support to a senior real estate partner with a fast-paced and expanding transactional practice. The successful candidate will assist with a broad range of commercial real estate matters, including joint ventures, financing, leasing, and related transactions. This position requires exceptional attention to detail, strong time-management skills, and the ability to thrive in a high-volume practice environment. The attorney maintains a substantial billable workload exceeding 300 hours per month, and the ideal candidate will demonstrate a proven ability to manage competing priorities efficiently and proactively.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide dedicated 1:1 administrative and transactional support to a senior real estate partner in a high-volume practice.
- Manage attorney time entries and billing processes through 3E Elite.
- Handle all non-billable administrative support needs, including scheduling, document organization, and correspondence.
- Utilize common commercial real estate forms and resources, such as AIA, AIR, and CAR.
- Prepare and submit conflict checks, open new matters, and draft engagement agreements and conflict waiver letters.
- Assist with commercial real estate and corporate transactional matters by organizing and assembling closing deliverables and preparing comprehensive closing binders.
- Order lien, UCC, and litigation searches to support due diligence efforts.
- Draft, redline, review, and revise transactional documents, including leases and purchase and sale agreements.
- Manage business entity formations and ongoing compliance for corporations, LLCs, and limited partnerships, including preparation and filing of organizational documents, statements of information, notices of transaction, EIN applications, annual reports, and franchise tax filings.
- Coordinate with state agencies and service companies to obtain Certificates of Formation and Certificates of Good Standing in multiple jurisdictions.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a transactional legal assistant
- Strong administrative skills with expertise in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Experience supporting real estate development, acquisitions, and transactional matters.
- Exceptional word processing and proofreading skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong administrative and organizational skills with high attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Tech-savvy and able to navigate AIA, AIR, and CAR systems.
