Trusts & Estates Administration & Litigation Associate
SCMV seeks to add an associate attorney with 2-6 years of trust and estate administration and litigation experience. As an associate attorney, your responsibilities will include:
- Managing trust and estate administration and litigation matters from intake through trial
- Drafting court petitions, motions, and discovery
- Preparing case evaluations and litigation strategies
- Arguing motions, attending mediations, and negotiating settlements
- Advising clients, taking and defending depositions, and assisting with trials
Matters often include will and trust contests, breach of fiduciary duty claims, accounting disputes, fiduciary misconduct, Probate Code § 850 and § 17200 petitions, and financial elder abuse.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the State Bar of California.
- 2-6 years of experience in trust and estate administration and litigation.
- Trial experience is preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

Salary range is $140,000-$215,000, plus additional incentive compensation and excellent benefits. Actual salary will depend upon several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant experience, job-related skills, and qualifications.
