Andrea Myers Named one of San Diego’s “Leaders in Law” by the San Diego Business Journal
SCMV Shareholder Andrea Myers was named to San Diego Business Journal’s annual “Leaders in Law,” which recognizes attorneys throughout San Diego for their exceptional professional accomplishments as well as their positive impact on the community.
The San Diego Business Journal highlighted Andrea’s litigation practice and how she has tried numerous civil cases through jury trial and has briefed and argued several matters before the Court of Appeal. Recently, she represented an international corporation in a commercial contract dispute through trial and obtained a successful defense verdict. She also successfully represented several developers and lessors in real property disputes, in which she obtained generous trial verdicts and settlements. With clients ranging from Fortune 500 companies to private commercial entities, Andrea enjoys her ability to work on a variety of different business trial matters in both state and federal court.
Not only is Andrea dedicated to her litigation practice, she is also a leader within SCMV’s management, heading the firm’s Marketing Committee and promoting the firm’s growth by sharing practical and insightful information with key audiences. Additionally, Andrea oversees the Recruiting Committee and Associate Training, which focuses on the skills that young attorneys need for successful careers.
The publication also highlighted Andrea’s service to the legal community as the Treasurer of the Association of Business Trial Lawyers Board of Governors, member of the Law Firm Alliance Board of Directors, and member of the University of San Diego School of Law, Board of Visitors. Andrea is also dedicated to philanthropy, serving as a past president of the Junior League of San Diego and member of the San Diego Bowl Game Association’s “RedCoat” Committee.
